Poor Sick Bubba
Well, what a day. Took Wes to the Dr's because he has had a cough for a few days, and yesterday afternoon and today has just been laying around. Barely eating. This is the boy that is happy and cheerful, even when he is running a fever (which he was/is) Now, I am not a Mom to panic easily, and don't my kids to the Dr at the first sign of the sniffles. It takes a lot for me to head over to the Dr's. Well, Wes had me that worried, and still does.
Turns out he has Bronchiolitis caused by RSV. Great. Our course of treatment is Breathing treatments with a nebulizer every 4 hours, plus oral Prednisone. He is already battling me tooth and nail to not have to do this, even though at the Dr's office he strapped on his Fish Mask by himself and calmly played the GameBoy until the treatment was done.
I hate it when the kids are sick, especially like this. He still has very little energy, and is not eating that much (the boy is living off yogurt...) I can tell that until his breathing improves (anywhere from 3 days to 2+ weeks) I'm going to be a basket case. Yep, I'm sure I'll be up every few hours to check on his breathing and all that...
